At McCoy Dental, we use the CEREC's revolutionary system to create crowns and bridges in a single day. A process that used to take multiple visits to a dentist's office can now be completed in just one trip.
If you have chipped, damaged, decayed, or discolored teeth, please call us for an appointment. We'll perform an examination and determine if a crown or bridge (a set of permanent artificial teeth that fills in one or missing teeth) is the right treatment. If so, we can do it quickly and conveniently. Emergency or same-day care is available, so call McCoy Dental now.
CEREC's same-day technology is a vast improvement in dental care. The system uses advanced scanning techniques to map your mouth and create crowns (or caps) and bridges that can be placed right away.
Perhaps the greatest benefit of our CEREC system is that we can immediately restore the function and appearance of your teeth. You don't have to worry about a temporary crown breaking or falling off and swallowed or causing injury. The same-day restoration is permanent.
CEREC crowns also require less drilling and preparation of your natural tooth, so there's less risk to that tooth and less risk of decay in the future. They're made of high-quality ceramic, so they're very durable and comfortable. Traditional crowns made from resin often fit poorly and need adjusting, but the CEREC crown fits correctly.
Completing the procedure in one visit is also less expensive than getting a traditional crown. There's no need for multiple trips to our office or paying for a temporary crown. You and your insurance company will love it!
In some instances, a traditional crown is a better choice. Crowns made of porcelain fused to metal are stronger than CEREC ceramic crowns, and metal bonds to your tooth better than ceramic. We'll let you know if trading convenience for durability is a wise choice in your case. Traditional crowns are also better for restoring teeth that are fractured below the gum line.
